What Do You Do With Coins?

I'm a baker, but I started playing Bubble Mania today.
It's pretty fun and interesting, but I was wondering what you do with coins...
From what I can see, we just earn coins, but do we buy things with coins, or save them up for something, or..?

In the later islands the coins are used to purchase one time use powerups. Like Rainbow Bubbles (match all that hit it), Bombs (blow up all surrounding Bubbles, including indestructible ones), and Antidote (you'll find some nasty surprises in later levels, haha). At the beginning, they really aren't used for much.

My advice is to save them, for some bizarre reason, the price of these powerups increases many times over, so you'll want to save the coins for when you really need to pass a level.
