Hi and welcome to the forum. Yes, it is quite normal to have lots and lots of goals at the beginning of the game. Take your time though and you'll get through them! You might want to visit the Hub and read through the Story Guide, Information Nuggets and also the Castle Story 101 post for new players. click on the link in my signature below.

You have to craft the pages & ink first, then combine them in a craft to make the tome.

You need to complete the Fairy Bridge and he returns in the next set of goals.
