No Rat Tails to be found

I'm working on the Hungry Work goal and I need rat tails to make the Super Yummy Pies. I have found three or four skunkupines and none of them give me rat tails. I found two or three fangbeasts and no rat tails there either. I even paid 5 gems (not something I part with lightly) for a skunkupine trap and no tails. Any ideas on how to get rat tails for this goal?
