Can anyone please tell me how to rescue the babies in the 2 different coloured bubbles when there is only one star bubble?

See if there are other bubbles you can pop to reach your goal, and not just the ones that the babies are inside.

But I still cannot get past the line of black bubbles and depending on which colour gets popped first near the star bubble first the others get left

There should be a solid row of bubbles directly above the black ones
