I'm totally doing the same thing: after this, I'll have enough to craft Venetian.

But hey, this time I actually broke down and got me a Paladin. My first Champion dragon. The rarest one I have. I'm hoping this little one will help me a lot.

Ugh...well, maybe it's a good thing getting these illogical silly loses due to bad luck early, to perhaps get better flow later...can keep fingers crossed at least!

Round 3: Lightning 10 got another chance after the early fail, and this time he beat Firestorm 1 in first try. 8 gold spent.

I bought a Valkyrie (Super Rare Champion) when Nova Tourny was at full strength and I can't check on his abilities then.
I have this chance during Vampire Tourny.
Valkyrie was loosing each and every battle to commons, to say nothing about rares and super rares and spend all the time relaxing in the spa.
That's why I think that Valkyrie was not worth the money I paid for him. Weird and ridiculous.
I can't say anything about Paladin (Rare Champion).

Eek. I'll use Paladin as a last resort. I already have a super hard time with Champions that come up in the last few rounds, so I thought maybe Paladin might give me at least a standing chance. If a super rare Champion doesn't cut it...then I don't know. I see on here people beating the dragons with Champions and Diamond breeds, and since I don't have a Diamond, I thought maybe getting a Champion might help. I'll learn soon enough, I guess.

My epic dynasty lost ��

For simple common dragons - firestorm, luck, fire, etc - I try not to use the Champs since they seem to do well. The fact that Water normally beats Paladin and Fire/Life have beaten BK, Dynasty and those... I try for the other dragons... My lightening has done really well in tourney... and so excited, I was able to finally craft Jade (evolving to L7) now...

Facing round 4 in 14 minutes.
