Pending neighbor requests

Is there a way that something can be added so we can delete pending neighbor requests?? I had people who wanted to be neighbors so I sent invites and they've obviously quite playing because they've been pending for months and their crops are all withered and it's limiting me from getting new neighbors because I've got all these pending. PLEASE add a delete feature for these!!! Thank you.

Currently there isn't an option in-game to delete pending neighbor requests. I can't speculate on future updates, but I will let the development team know of these suggestions.

Is there an update on this? All of us have been asking for this feature for at least 2 years now. It is needed in ALL of the games. You'd think you'd respond to this need. All you have to do is use the same code that you have to delete neighbors by clicking on and EDIT button.
