How do I request building materials?

The question says it all. I play only Bakery Story and my neighbors request materials from me frequently, but I don't know how to request them myself!

Buy the constructible oven.
Place it on floor.
Tap to manage.
Menu opens up for the materials you need in order to build it.
Request the needed materials within that menu.
Tip* IF you have many neighbors, request one material from 1/4 of your neighbors.
Request second material from a different quarter of your neighbors.

if you're using a droid phone, you wont have this feature.

When you're on the screen where you are accepting gifts, scroll all the way down to the bottom and you will see the requests from your friends.

No. The constructable machines are only available on idevices.
