Battle Tournament: Chalkheart Dragon 2/9/24
Hello Neighbors,
Welcome to the second tournament of the Month of Hearts February (The Tournament ends on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at 11:59pm Pacific Standard Time). The tournament boss is the Chalkheart Dragon. Win 30 rounds and this dragon can be in your storage. I listed the number of Lovely Signs (in parenthesis) that can be won with each round. Champions are very tricky. The go to dragons for most players are as follows, The ADDMIP Dragons of Achilles, Diamond, Dark, Metal, Infinity and Passion. Different dragons work on champions on different islands so don't think you're just limited to the ADDMIP dragons when facing a champion type.

Since I had gold saved up from my Gold Producing Dragons, I had enough to go through this tournament quickly.
Here are my results:
Chalkheart Tourney:
1. Sniffles 3 - Forest 15
2. Grand Amber 4 - Water 15
3. Mirth 5 - Air 15
4. Nippy 6 - Air 15
5. Ice Knight 7 - White Steed 15
6. Huntress 8 - Air 15
7. Voracious 9 - Qilin 15 [Lost with Virtue 15]
8. Scarbolt 10 - Air 15
9. Soulmancy 11 - Air 15
10. Moonrise 12 - Violight 15 (Regular purple dragons have an advantage over royal type dragons. My suggestion is to try a level 15 purple type dragon and see if works for you like it did for me.)
11. Anxious 13 - Forest 15
12. Old Knight 14 - White Steed 15
13. Resolute 15 - White Steed 15
14. The Dark One 16 - Water 15 (I have always used my level 15 Water or Bambino against The Dark One or Alpha Dark One and never lost to them)
15. Neo Glacius 17 - Water 15
16. Stocking 18 - Water 15
17. Warrior 19 - Dark 15
18. Glitterstream 20 - Water 15 [Lost with Fire 15]
19. Noble Queen 16 - Qilin 15
20. Sabertooth 17 - Qilin 15
21. Harmony Knight 17 - Fire 15
22. Hydrocast 17 - Air 15
23. Hyper World 18 - Air 15
24. Blarney 18 - White Steed 15
25. Werewolf 18 - Cutesy 15
26. Strongshine 19 - Dark 15
27. Arch Elemental 19 - Water 15
28. Storm8 19 - Nightsky 15
29. Inquisitor 20 - Dark 15
30. Chalkheart 20 - Dark 15 [Lost with Qilin 15]
Anyone notice a pattern with the dragons I used to win the battles? If you guessed that all of my winning and losing dragons were single element common dragons, you're absolutely correct! I have proven in previous tournaments that one doesn't have to necessarily use champion or diamond types to win every round but, as I say always, every island is different and what may work for me may not work for you. You have to know your dragons' limitations and strengths. I know, for a fact, that if you level your basic dragons (Fire, Water, Air, Forest, Magic) to level 15, it'll make a difference in beating harder dragons.
If you get stuck or need some guidance, this is why there's a tournament thread.
For how long the tournaments are available:
If the tournament starts on a Friday and it's a normal 30 round tourney, it ends Wednesday at 11:59pm Pacific Standard/Daylight Time
If the tournament starts on a Tuesday and it's a normal 30 round tourney, it ends Sunday at 11:59pm Pacific Standard/Daylight Time
Flash tournaments (24 rounds) usually last 4 days.
