2D Artist
Responsibilities:
- Work on theme development for TeamLava?s existing and new games.
- Create in-game graphical assets for virtual goods, missions, items, avatars, etc.
- Create concepts for, and mock-ups of, future features and in-game experiences.
- Work closely with game designers and engineers to create, iterate upon and finalize delivery of polished, professional graphical assets.
- Possess excellent understanding of style guidelines, design processes, and creative workflow.
- Occasionally provide artwork to satisfy out-of-game needs, including the TeamLava website.
- Communicate visually, and identify and define visual design issues and solutions.
- Provide feedback, and concepts for outsourced assets.
Qualifications:
- Understanding of Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Knowledge of 2D graphic and interactive design.
- Quick sketching and concept experience.
- Design s****s, including the effective use of color, form, lighting and composition
- Portfolio featuring samples in cartoony styles.
- Excellent team player with strong interpersonal and communication s****s.
- Strong empathy for users.
- A passion for mobile games, virtual worlds, and social networking.
Nice to Have:
- Game development experience is a plus, especially handheld/mobile
- Bachelors Degree in an art-related discipline
Game Designer
Responsibilities
- Construct engaging and creative game play mechanism in social games
- Analyze live game data to constantly improve existing gaming experience
- Write copy and names for all game elements including story lines
- Collaborate with game artists and engineers through out the entire game production
- Contribute to user interface design
Qualifications
- Significant industry game design experience (4+ years)
- Expert level on game design knowledge (including but not limit to video games and board games)
- Expert level on game balancing with numbers
- Good understanding on the latest social game mechanism
- Participated in the shipping of at least 2 titles in the past
- Excellent communication s****s, including both verbal and written communication
- Work well under high-paced, time-sensitive environment
- Adapt to changes during the entire production cycle
Product Manager
Responsibilities
- Work with game team across the TeamLava organization towards timely and successful project launches
- Manage live products and features post-launch
- Build and manage product development of live game titles and help generate new gaming concepts
- Manage the entire game development cycle, from creative concepts to development to release
- Own the ultimate responsibility for the success and growth of the product
- Research and keep up with game market trends, patterns, and customer requirements
Qualifications
- 2+ years of managing cross functional teams
- 4+ years producer/product experience in online gaming or consumer internet
- Bachelor?s degree with history of academic success
- Strong organizational and analytical s****s; attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication s****s; ability to motivate your teammates
- Good understanding of social games; A big plus for having the knowledge of the market, the users and social games
- Previous start-up experience or small team experience is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Manage full cycle recruiting process for Production roles ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience.
- Work with recruiting and HR team to develop, implement, and execute hiring strategy.
- Collaborate with internal clients to understand their hiring needs and goals.
- Screen resumes and interview qualified candidates ensuring a smooth process through offer and candidate close.
- Facilitate interview and hiring discussions with interviewers and hiring managers.
- Drive offer process - including extending offers, closing candidates, and generating offer letters.
- Work with Human Resources team to on-board new hires.
- Act as an internally and externally-facing representative of Storm8.
Requirements:
